Leader’s Resources

Equipping You to Shepherd the Journey

Thank you for stepping into the role of guiding your group through a Wine & Word tour. These experiences are about more than travel—they are sacred journeys where stories, Scripture, and community come alive around the table and in the vineyard.

This page is designed just for you. Here you’ll find the manuscripts, teaching notes, and other resources you’ll need to lead your group with confidence and joy.

  • Day 1: Welcome & Orientation
Laying the foundation for the week—hospitality, shared expectations, and the biblical story of wine.

  • Day 2: The Vineyard and the Vinedresser
Exploring John 15 and the image of abiding.

  • Day 3: Wine at the Table
How Scripture connects wine to meals, hospitality, and covenant.

  • Day 4: The Cup of Joy, The Cup of Suffering
Reflecting on the tension of celebration and sacrifice.

  • Day 5: Communion in Community
Bringing it all together at the Lord’s table.

  • Day 6: Breaking Bread & Drinking Wine
How food and wine come together as God intended

  • Day 7: What Did the Saints Drink
Peer back into history and uncover what key people in the formation of Christianity not only drank but also had to say about wine.

  • Day 8: The Lord’s Supper
Reflecting on where wine plays a huge role in The Lord’s Supper.

Manuscripts

Each manuscript provides a framework for the teachings woven throughout the trip. These are designed to connect the biblical story with the story of wine and the rhythms of life. You can use them as written or adapt them to your voice and context.

How to Use These Resources

Pray First

Each manuscript is meant to be more than words—let them flow from a heart that abides in Christ.

01

Make It Personal

You may follow the manuscripts closely or use them as a guide, adding your own stories and reflections.

02

Engage the Group

Invite conversation, questions, and prayer. The goal is not only teaching but shared discovery.

03

Create Space

Allow moments of silence, reflection, and lingering. Much like a fine wine, truth is best savored slowly.
